About Me
Blondelle Melina Atsafack
AI Researcher | PhD Candidate | Smart Energy Innovator
I am a researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for predictive maintenance and intelligent infrastructure systems.
Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Internet of Things and Embedded Computing Systems at the University of Rwanda’s African Centre of Excellence in Internet of Things (ACEIoT). My research focuses on developing AI-driven solutions for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and real-time monitoring of hydropower plants and other critical infrastructure systems.
My work combines machine learning, industrial IoT, sensor networks, and time-series analytics to improve equipment reliability, reduce operational downtime, and support sustainable energy development across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Research Mission
My mission is to leverage Artificial Intelligence and Industrial IoT technologies to create intelligent monitoring systems that improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of critical infrastructure.
I believe that data-driven technologies can help address some of Africa’s most pressing challenges in energy, infrastructure, and industrial development.
